Dominica Tours

Dominica Tours are Adventures!

Dominica Tours 1

Experience the Wonders of our
Island Paradise.

Are you an avid bird-watcher?

Do you enjoy strapping on your scuba diving gear and plunging beneath the waves?

Are you looking for the Adventure of a lifetime?

Have no fear; these Tours will help you get "live-and-interactive" with all that this fantastic tropical island has to offer.

Dominica Tours include Whale, Dolphin and Sea-Turtle watching, Bird-watching, Hiking, Horseback Riding, River and Sea Kayaking, and Sports Fishing.

And let's not forget ATV Safari Tours, Jeep Safari Tours, and Heritage Tours.

There is so much to do in Dominica, the only problem is that usually there's just not enough time to do it all.

Apart from just seeing and experiencing the island, the various Tour and Taxi Operators on the island will also share with you some of their insights into the history and culture of Dominica.

One of our fondest memories, (apart from The Boiling Lake, of course) involves taking our first tour of the island. There were many locations on the island we'd heard about but had never seen, so we were all set to go . . .

Our First Dominica Tour:

Dominica Tours 2 Our tour guide picked us up from our hotel promptly at 8:30am. This was one tour, we were really looking forward to.

We started out along the west coast of the island. Our tour guide would slow down every so often to point out various sights, and places of historical significance, for instance the intriuingly named village of Massacre.

We continued inland toward The Carib Territory, where we met some of Dominica's earliest settlers. This, along with the abundance of lush vegetation, the view of the ocean, and the fresh mountain air already had me convinced that this tour was worth every penny.

From there we made our way to the town of Portsmouth, where we stopped for a leisurely lunch. The afternoon included more of the same, and it was a pure joy . . .

  • It was stepping into Champagne Bay, where "Champagne-like" bubbles rise from beneath the waves.
  • It was driving with the windows down and having the aromatic island breezes fill the car.
  • It was seeing the various "faces" of Dominica in the land, the people, and the sea.
  • Most of all, it was being able to experience nature in a way most people can only dream of.

All this is typical of the many Dominica tours you can look forward to enjoying here on our island paradise.
